I’m Preston Tipton, and I’m running for Mayor of Chicago—not as a career politician, but as someone who understands hard work, tough beginnings, and what it takes to create real change.

I was raised in a low-income household and moved frequently throughout my childhood. Those early challenges taught me the value of perseverance, adaptability, and grit. Eventually, my family settled in Houston, Texas, where I attended high school and went on to attend college—studying political science, history, and law both in the classroom and through my own personal dedication to learning.

After moving to the Chicago area, I entered the restaurant industry and worked my way up from the bottom. Over the years, I’ve risen to manage a multi-million dollar business. I know what it means to take responsibility, lead a team, and deliver results in the real world. Now, I want to bring that same mindset to City Hall—focused on progress, not politics.

Chicago deserves leadership that puts people over partisanship, and action over talk. From public safety to education to infrastructure, it's time we get things done.
